Responsibilities The Housekeeping Supervisor is primarily responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper to effectively manage the operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.
Coaches and supports associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and safety.
Assists the Executive Housekeeper with establishes standards and procedures for the Housekeeping Team, in regards to the direction of work, service, and performance; verifies team members scheduling, payroll, overtime and other related services.
Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures.
Prepare schedules based upon occupancy and assign duties to workers and schedule shifts or notify vendor of weekly staffing needs.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices.
Practice safe work habits; follow OSHA standards; wear protective safety equipment and participate in safety committees as directed.
Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, weekends and alternate shifts.
Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
Requirements Minimum two years of Supervisory experience in the same or related position is required.
Strong time management skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
